Around the 20th anniversary of Diana death, plenty of new and re-issued books are appearing. One that stood out for me was the Princess Diana 20th Anniversary Book from Historic Newspapers, which is a collection of newspaper articles from the early years until her death.
The book is rather large (31 x 38cm) bound in a hardback leather cover with foil embossing. It is personalised with the recipient’s name on the front and a message which will appear on the opening page. I had never seen many of the newspaper articles before, as much of it happened before I was even born. It was lovely to read through and see all the original newspaper articles. It also includes several pages of coloured photos, which is great. The only thing I am a bit disappointed in is the use of the title “Princess Diana.” Although she was perhaps best known as such, she was never actually “Princess Diana.” Before marriage, she was “Lady Diana Spencer”, during the marriage she was “Her Royal Highness, The Princess of Wales” and after the divorce, she was “Diana, Princess of Wales.”
Otherwise, it is a great book for any Diana collection, and it pays a great tribute to the life of Diana, Princess of Wales. Also, from every purchase £5 will be donated to The Diana Award.
